3D Model Creation for PV*SOL

Start your PV*SOL Premium workflow with a ready-made 3D building model instead of rebuilding the site from scratch. Render-a prepares project geometry for PV*SOL so you can plan layouts, evaluate shading and develop your solar design on a realistic roof model.

Two delivery options

  • PV*SOL project file (.pvprj): Download a .pvprj file to open the prepared model directly in PV*SOL.
  • 3D geometry (.obj): Download OBJ when you want to import the Render-a model into an existing PV*SOL project.

What you gain

  • Start PV design without redrawing roofs, building mass or nearby shading objects.
  • Plan module placement on a clearer, more realistic 3D model.
  • Keep sales, site-survey and engineering teams aligned around the same geometry.

How it works

  1. Upload project imagery or available site data to Render-a.
  2. Download your model as .pvprj or .obj.
  3. Open the project file or import the OBJ model, then complete the design in PV*SOL.

Frequently asked questions: PV*SOL

Use .pvprj to continue from a PV*SOL project file. Use OBJ to add the 3D model to an existing workflow.

No. Render-a provides the 3D model. Module selection, electrical design and energy simulation are completed by your team in PV*SOL.
